CAAP, an Indian NGO, aims to enhance social welfare delivery and research, foster collaboration for scheme awareness, and envision equitable access, benefit distribution, and restored public trust to combat poverty and build strong communities.
World Bank research indicates that social protection has been key to poverty reduction and economic growth in high-income countries. In India, adapting social schemes to current socio-economic changes is needed. Barriers like misinformation, discrimination, and bureaucracy hinder access to these schemes. Project Connect’s findings in Damoh led to the creation of CAAP, which aims to overcome these challenges and help communities access welfare schemes to escape poverty.
